7/11/21 - The main stairs were stained on Saturday... still have to seal them, stain the post and rail and paint all the toe kick and sides white... but we're getting there. I like the contrast between the "brite white" shiplap and "Jacobean" stain on the stair treads. I'm glad that I chose to square newel post and to bring the pickets all the way to the risers and do away with the little piece of wall that they would've originally terminated into.
There are so many little details that go into finishing out one of our homes. Even something as small as caulking in a door frame makes a huge difference as to whether the home looks polished. Benny is our punchout guy and takes care of little details like these.
